  RAM, or Random Access Memory, is a type of computer memory that allows data to be stored and accessed rapidly and randomly. It's the temporary storage for the operating system, software, and any other data the computer is actively using. RAM is crucial for efficient computer performance because it allows the processor to access data quickly, leading to faster application loading and overall responsiveness. 

A processor, often called a Central Processing Unit (CPU), is  the brain of a computer .  It's responsible for executing instructions and performing calculations that allow software and hardware to function .  in computing and  computer science , a  processor  or  processing unit  is an electrical component ( digital circuit ) that performs operations on an external data source, usually  memory  or some other data stream. It typically takes the form of a  microprocessor , which can be implemented on a single or a few tightly integrated  metal–oxide–semiconductor   integrated circuit  chips.
